Jimi Hendrix "Experience" Tour Tee 1968

Jimi Hendrix Experience merchandise from 1968-70 is among the rarest and most valuable rock memorabilia in existence. Hendrix's death in September 1970 at age 27 immediately made any authenticated original merchandise of incalculable significance. Winterland produced limited merchandise for the Experience's US tours. The psychedelic artwork of the era — swirling colors, hand-drawn typography — makes these pieces as much visual art as band merchandise. Fewer than 100 authenticated examples are known.
