Michael Mann's Heat (1995) contains the greatest action set piece in cinema history (the downtown LA shootout) and the only scene where Al Pacino and Robert De Niro shared the screen together. Warner Bros. produced promotional merchandise for the film that defined the heist genre. The coffee shop scene between Pacino and De Niro is one of cinema's most studied dialogue sequences.
