Kountry Boro Denim Jacket 2000s

Kapital was founded in Kojima, Okayama — the birthplace of Japanese denim — in 1984. The Kountry line's boro-inspired denim jackets, using patchwork techniques from Japanese mending traditions (boro = "rags"), are among the most labor-intensive garments in contemporary fashion. Each jacket requires hours of hand-stitching and combines multiple indigo fabrics of different weights and washes. Original 2000s Kapital boro jackets are available for $200–$500. Upside: $800–$2,500.
