DESCRIPTION
Neighborhood was founded by Shinsuke Takizawa in 1994 in Harajuku, building on the biker culture and military aesthetics that Takizawa had absorbed working at GOODENOUGH. The brand's first decade tees — printed on heavyweight Japanese cotton with the original iron cross and motorcycle imagery — established the vocabulary of Japanese streetwear's militaristic wing. The authenticity of early Neighborhood pieces comes from their uncompromising approach to quality and their deliberate distance from mainstream fashion. First decade pieces: $400–$1,500.
