DESCRIPTION
The Adidas Mexico 66 — created for the 1966 World Cup and the forerunner of the Samba — is one of the oldest collectible athletic shoes. The low-profile design, the T-toe construction, and the original West German leather construction create a shoe of absolute simplicity. Original pre-1975 West German examples with the original T-toe and three-stripe design are foundational athletic artifacts. Value: $1,500–$6,000.
