DESCRIPTION

Lee's Storm Rider predates the Levi's Sherpa Trucker and is arguably the original sherpa-lined denim jacket. Introduced in 1962, it features a blanket-lined body with a distinctive waist cinch and a warmer insulation than competitors. The Lee brand's Sanforized denim and union label construction make identification straightforward. The cowboy and Western heritage of Lee — headquartered in Kansas City — gives it a different cultural resonance than its San Francisco rival. Vintage 1960s examples: $250–$700.
