Franz Beckenbauer Tracksuit

The Beckenbauer tracksuit, named after the West Germany captain who lifted the 1974 World Cup, became the defining piece of European football culture. The three-stripe design in tricot polyester was worn by national teams, club players, and eventually hip-hop artists who saw it on the streets of New York. Run-DMC's "My Adidas" (1986) immortalized the brand in hip-hop culture. Original West German-made examples from the 1970s with the trefoil logo are the most valuable. Vintage examples: $400–$1,500.
