DESCRIPTION
Hysteric Glamour — founded by Nobuhiko Kitamura in 1984 — is the most influential Japanese streetwear brand of the 1980s-90s that Western markets undervalue. The brand's combination of 1950s American rock'n'roll imagery and Japanese graphic design created a visual vocabulary adopted by Courtney Love, Sonic Youth, and the entire 1990s cool-girl aesthetic. 1990s Japan-market tees: ¥30,000–¥150,000.
