Beacon Sports Waxed Jacket

Barbour's Beacon Sports jacket was the pinnacle of British country clothing in the 1980s, worn by the Royal Family, country squires, and eventually adopted by Mod revivalists and street style practitioners. The hand-waxed Egyptian cotton, brass hardware, and corduroy collar are hallmarks. Made at the South Shields factory in Tyne and Wear, early examples have riveted hardware and the original wax formulation. The Barbour jacket became a class signifier that transcended class.
