DESCRIPTION
Patagonia's pile fleece jackets from the 1980s represent the founding era of performance outdoor fashion. Yvon Chouinard introduced fleece to Patagonia's lineup in 1977, and the pile jackets of the early 1980s — before Synchilla was introduced in 1985 — are the rarest and most collectible. The boxy silhouette, external chest pockets, and the original Patagonia wordmark (before the mountain logo became dominant) define these pieces. Made in USA examples from Ventura, California are the most desirable. Value: $400–$1,500.
