DESCRIPTION
Big John produced Japan's first domestically made jeans in 1965 — the M102 model is the original. Founded in Kojima, Okayama — which would become Japan's denim capital — Big John pioneered Japanese denim manufacturing using selvedge looms that American mills had discarded. The M102 from the early 1970s, with its distinctive red and yellow Big John patch and heavy selvedge construction, is the founding artifact of Japanese denim culture. Value: ¥40,000–¥200,000.
