Garbstore — founded by Ian Paley in London in 2007 — was the most influential small menswear brand of the late 2000s. Its combination of British heritage workwear, Japanese craft, and Americana created a visual language that predated the entire Engineered Garments / Our Legacy / Needles aesthetic by several years. Early Garbstore pieces from 2008-2014 are currently available for $30–$80 — criminally undervalued given the brand's influence on contemporary menswear. Upside: $200–$600.
